Who am i and why choose us?

 

Prior to joining the dental world in 1998 I worked in the music industry. I went from mixing with the likes of Captain Sensible and Leo Sayer to getting to know the Tooth Fairy and a Rabbit that dresses in superhero outfits! Hey ho, that’s just how I rock ‘n roll!

 

So here I am, having started out as a nurse/receptionist in an independent NHS practice, transforming it into a mixed practice, now predominantly private, to becoming an independent consultant for dental compliance and general practice management. Well, that makes me feel grown up! I still regularly work in practice, the same one I started in I might add, and manage a team of 30, handle all the financial and business matters of the practice and fully understand the day-to-day challenges of running a dental practice that interrupts your plans for the day. I'm sure I don’t need to tell you all about those otherwise you wouldn’t be looking at this page.

 

When the CQC became a regulator of dental practices I became quite ‘geeky’ about compliance. Well, let’s face it, someone had to! I have since assisted multiple practises in passing their announced CQC inspections. I have guided and supported new practices with their initial CQC applications through to final registration by helping them understand and meet the CQC fundamental Standards and demonstrating the key lines of enquiry. Every practice is unique, so my work is never dull.

What can we do for you?

There are several ways in which we can help you manage your practice as one size does not fit all.

Firstly, we can provide you with a dedicated consultant who will work with you to identify your needs and provide a service to suit. This might be a Total Compliance Assessment which resembles a CQC inspection. A TCA will identify gaps in the practice compliance, provides a comprehensive action plan for improvement from which you and your consultant can collaborate with you  to close those gaps.

We also offer a mentoring service in which a consultant works remotely alongside yourself or your manager and advises on compliance activities to be completed within a scheduled time. This helps spread the workload and prevent backlog of essential tasks relating to compliance and general practice management.
